Sue Goodge

Yoga Trainer

What does a normal day entail?

I like to start the day watching the sun rise, do some meditation and breath-work before getting into the office where I help run our small family business. I always do some form of yoga, stretching or gym work, followed by my morning coffee which I love to take the time to sit and enjoy a cup of deliciousness. I am currently studying as I love to learn new things to add to my personal development. The afternoon/evenings are preparing dinner for my hubby and daughters and an evening walk with my darling little dog to end the day.

What do you love most about your job?

I love sharing the practice of yoga with others to help them connect and tune into their breath, body, mind and soul.  I enjoy seeing my students finishing the class feeling calm, centred, grounded, refreshed and renewed ready to take their practice from the mat and into their day.

What do you love doing outside of work?

I am a huge nature fan, so love being outside walking, hiking or riding my pushbike.  I love music and dancing and really enjoy travelling.  I have a passion for baking sourdough bread from scratch and not only enjoy the deliciousness of the bread itself but thoroughly enjoy the whole process from feeding the starter, to the bulk-fermentation process, shaping the dough, watching it proof and rise, creating a loaf to share with others.

What were you going to be ‘when you grew up?

I wanted to be a primary school teacher or flight stewardess when I was younger, but neither appealed as I entered adulthood!

What is a totally different job that you would like to try?

I would love to try being a birth doula to support women during child birth.

What have you studied?

I have studied yoga, meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, breath-work, essential oils, office administration & book keeping, and am currently studying Oriental Medicine Frameworks.
