Pines Learning, as a dedicated provider of lifelong learning opportunities, is committed to supporting the Constitutional recognition of the First Peoples of Australia and the establishment of mechanisms that amplify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in national conversations. We believe that these steps are crucial for fostering a stronger, more inclusive democracy that truly represents all Australians.
At the heart of our mission is the belief in the power of education, empowerment, and the enrichment of lives, we recognise that education is a key tool for building an equitable and just society and that true progress requires acknowledging and addressing the historical and ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous peoples in Australia.
We stand firm in our conviction that recognising the unique place and contributions of the First Nations to Australia’s history and culture is essential for creating a more inclusive society. Providing First Nations people with platforms to have their voices heard on issues that affect them directly is a significant move towards ensuring their meaningful participation and engagement in shaping our national narrative.
As we continue to fulfill our mission as an adult education provider, we are dedicated to incorporating Indigenous perspectives, histories, and cultures into our programs and courses. Our aim is to create an environment that respects, celebrates, and learns from the First Nations’ rich heritage.
Pines Learning encourages everyone to seek out information and engage in dialogues that deepen their understanding of Indigenous perspectives and the importance of Constitutional recognition. We recommend engaging with the Uluru Statement from the Heart as a starting point for those looking to learn more about the aspirations and recommendations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
By fostering an informed and respectful dialogue, we can all contribute to a more equitable, just, and inclusive Australia.
