“I have
always dreamed of pursuing a career in aged care. Though I became busy
with family commitments, I never gave up on my dream. I have beautiful
and unforgettable memories of looking after my late mother, godfather and
parents-in-law when they had severe illnesses. These precious experiences
made me realise how much elderly people need care, support and comfort.
They should be able to live a life free from worries and anxiety. When I
provided support and care to older people, I made a difference in their lives
and supported them to reduce their discomfort and suffering and their
loneliness and fears. My efforts in taking care of them also gave me a
sense of achievement and valuable experiences.
My experiences
have motivated me to learn how to take care of elderly people professionally
through an aged care course at Pines Learning. Aged work is not only
rewarding financially but provides me plenty of great opportunities to
actualise my dream to meet and support many older people.
Throughout my
journey, I have learned that it is never too late to do what we love or start a
new job in the industry you’re passionate about. If you have a dream, now
